Stainless Steel XM19 Nuts are produced using a nitrogen-strengthened alloy having 20.5–23.5% chromium, 11.5–13.5% nickel, manganese, and 1.5–3% molybdenum along with the addition of nitrogen for added strength. These nuts have a tensile strength of up to 100 ksi, yield strength of 55 ksi, and great toughness and fatigue durability. XM19 has improved pitting and crevice corrosion resistance and is best suited for aggressive and high-temperature conditions. Relative to 316 stainless steel, XM19 nuts provide enhanced strength, better fabricability, and higher oxidation resistance, making them dependable for use in both industrial and offshore environments.
