Stainless Steel Dairy Fittings are mainly made from SS 304 or 316L. SS 304 contains 18–20% chromium and 8–10.5% nickel, while 316L includes 2–3% molybdenum for greater resistance to corrosion. These alloys have tensile strengths of 515–620 MPa and yield strengths around 205 MPa. The fittings show excellent weldability, hygienic finishes, and resistance to acidic and alkaline cleaning agents. 316L, with its lower carbon content, offers superior resistance to intergranular corrosion and is preferred for Clean-in-Place (CIP) applications. All fittings feature smooth bore and mirror polish to prevent microbial buildup and make cleaning easy.
