Highly clean and high-purity applications EP Elbows are designed with optimum smooth flow to rule out contamination. These bends are manufactured from SS 316L grade of stainless steel, electropolished to Ra ≤ 0.4 µm for maximum cleanliness and corrosion resistance in sanitary piping systems. Offered in 45°, 90°, and 180° angles, Andre Stainless provides orbital weld-compatible elbows to ASME BPE, 3A, and ISO standards — most suitable for biopharmaceutical, food, and ultrapure water systems.
SS 316L stainless steel is used to manufacture EP Elbows, which is molybdenum-enriched for improved pitting resistance. The material has tensile strength of ~485 MPa and excellent ductility and formability for precise fabrication. The electropolished surface has reduced surface roughness to ≤ 0.4 µm Ra, which inhibits biofilm formation and enhances corrosion resistance. The elbows are constructed to ensure compatibility with orbital welding and repetitive sterilization and are dimensionally stable and surface intact under thermal and chemical cleaning processes, thus being highly suited for critical hygienic use.
