Andre Stainless provides AWS Class ER309/309L SAW wire matched with flux for submerged arc welding tasks involving stainless-to-carbon steel joints or overlay work. Based in Pulau Ujong, Singapore, Andre Stainless ensures product quality and reliable supply. ER309 produces welds with strong resistance to heat and oxidation, while the 309L version features low-carbon alloying to reduce sensitization. This SAW system delivers high deposition rates, stable weld quality, and solid arc behavior, making it perfect for industrial-grade stainless steel welding projects.
ER309/309L wires typically contain about 23‑25% chromium and 12‑14% nickel, with 309L having carbon below 0.04%. Tensile strength generally exceeds 580 MPa, with elongation near 30%. The flux is designed for deep penetration, clean slag, and smooth bead formation. This combination results in crack-resistant, corrosion-resistant weld metal with strong structural strength. ER309L enhances resistance to intergranular corrosion. The system supports flat-position SAW and delivers consistent weld performance in high-temperature or dissimilar metal service.
