Stainless Steel 410 is a martensitic alloy with 11.5–13.5% chromium and very low nickel content. It can be hardened through heat treatment to achieve high tensile strength up to 700 MPa and yield strength around 415 MPa. The alloy is magnetic and has moderate corrosion resistance in mildly corrosive environments. It also provides excellent wear resistance and good machinability. SS 410 coils work well in fabrication processes like welding, rolling, and forming, especially when proper post-weld heat treatments are applied. This makes them suitable for demanding applications where hardness and moderate corrosion resistance are needed.
