904L Stainless Steel Coils are made from a high-alloyed austenitic stainless steel of 19–23 percent chromium, 23–28 percent nickel, 4–5 percent molybdenum, plus small amounts of copper, manganese, and nitrogen. This special alloy provides superior corrosion resistance in aggressive environments, such as sulfuric acid and marine exposure. The alloy has superior mechanical properties of approximately 515 MPa tensile strength, 220 MPa yield strength, and superior ductility and toughness. It also possesses good formability and superior weldability, which makes it an all-round material for different forming, fabrication, and high-pressure applications.
