Andre Stainless is a trusted producer and distributor of Stainless Steel 446 Fasteners in Pulau Ujong, Singapore, offering oxidation-resistant products for high-temperature applications. Grade 446 is a ferritic stainless steel used to resist scaling and corrosion at temperatures over 1000°C. Andre Stainless makes bolts, nuts, washers, screws, and studs out of 446, all of which are produced in accordance with ASTM and DIN specifications. These fasteners are extremely appropriate for furnaces, heat treatment equipment, and other thermal systems where regular fasteners would perish. They come in special sizes and finishes for industrial, chemical, and thermal engineering uses.
Stainless Steel 446 is a ferritic high-chromium alloy containing 23–27% chromium with little carbon. It offers superior oxidation, sulfidation, and thermal fatigue resistance. Mechanical properties are tensile strength of 485–640 MPa and yield strength of approximately 275 MPa. The alloy is stable at temperatures of up to 1100°C. 446 fasteners are ferromagnetic, cannot be heat-treated to harden, and are less ductile compared to austenitic grades. Nonetheless, they retain mechanical strength in severe, high-temperature conditions and provide moderate corrosion resistance, particularly in oxidizing and sulfur-rich environments.
