Andre Stainless, based in Pulau Ujong, Singapore, is a leading fabricator of Electric Fusion Welded (EFW) Pipes from high-quality Stainless Steel 17-4 PH. The pipes are produced through sophisticated welding processes and are subjected to rigorous post-weld heat treatment to regain mechanical homogeneity. Suited for pressure piping systems, fluid conveying and structural structures, these pipes provide a compromise of strength, durability, and corrosion resistance. They come in different diameters and wall thicknesses. Andre Stainless supplies EFW pipes to suit the needs of oil & gas, power generation, marine engineering, and infrastructure development across Southeast Asia.
EFW pipes from 17-4 PH stainless steel consist of 15–17.5% chromium, 3–5% nickel, 3–5% copper, and trace amount of niobium. The alloy obtains tensile strength as high as 1200 MPa and yield strength approximately 1100 MPa after fusion welding and aging heat treatment. The hardness is between HRC 40 and 45, and the ductility is 8–10%. The corrosion resistance is comparable to Type 304 in most environments. EFW weld areas are heat treated after fabrication to create uniform mechanical properties along the length of the pipe and avoid degradation at the weld seam.

We perform high-quality testing on our materials before delivering them to customers. The tests performed are hardness check, chemical analysis, PMI testing, flattening tests, micro and macro examination. All necessary documents such as sales invoice, packing lists, certificates of origin, and a quality assurance letter are provided. For extra peace of mind, customers can ask for third-party inspection reports.
Yes, Stainless Steel EFW pipes can be used for underground applications due to their corrosion resistance, strength, and durability, making them ideal for transporting fluids and gases in harsh environments.
To select the right Stainless Steel EFW pipes, consider factors like the material grade, pipe size, pressure requirements, environmental conditions, and compatibility with the substances being transported. Consult with an expert if needed.
Stainless Steel EFW pipes are sized based on their nominal diameter (ND) and wall thickness, which determine their strength, pressure capacity, and suitability for various applications. Standard sizing follows industry specifications.
Common grades of stainless steel used in EFW pipe manufacturing include 304, 316, 316L, and 321. These grades offer excellent corrosion resistance, strength, and durability for various industrial applications.
