Stainless Steel 201 Pipes have 16–18% chromium, 3.5–5.5% nickel, and up to 7.5% manganese. This composition gives them good tensile strength (515–750 MPa) and an approximate yield strength of 275 MPa. SS 201 offers excellent toughness and formability, making it suitable for cold forming and welding. Although it is less corrosion-resistant than SS 304, it performs well in less aggressive environments. Its higher manganese content provides strength at a lower cost, making it an economical choice for structural and transportation piping systems.
