Introducing Andre Stainless, a trusted name in Singapore’s manufacturing scene, specializing in Stainless Steel 416 Pipes. These precision-engineered piping solutions are perfect for both machining-intensive tasks and structural applications. SS 416 is a free-machining martensitic stainless steel, celebrated for its superb machinability, decent corrosion resistance, and impressive strength after heat treatment. Andre Stainless offers both seamless and welded 416 pipes in various sizes, wall thicknesses, and finishes, all crafted to meet ASTM A312 and other international standards. With a commitment to quality, performance, and customer satisfaction, they cater to industries like automotive, manufacturing, power generation, and general engineering.
When it comes to composition and mechanical properties, Stainless Steel 416 Pipes are made up of 11.5–13.5% chromium, with a maximum of 0.15% sulfur added to boost machinability. They also include small amounts of manganese, phosphorus, and silicon. SS 416 boasts a tensile strength ranging from 550 to 760 MPa and a yield strength of about 275 MPa, achieving Rockwell hardness levels of up to C35 after heat treatment. These pipes are magnetic and stand out for their excellent machinability compared to other stainless steels, although they do have lower corrosion resistance than austenitic grades. SS 416 can be hardened through heat treatment, maintaining its strength and dimensional stability even under moderate thermal and mechanical stress.
