309LMo filler wires and rods include about 23% Chromium, 13% Nickel, and 2.5–3% Molybdenum, delivering excellent corrosion resistance against acids, chlorides, and marine environments. They have tensile strengths of about 580–620 MPa and yield strengths around 400 MPa, along with high elongation and ductility. The addition of Molybdenum enhances resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. These wires ensure excellent arc stability, good slag removal (TIG), and high deposition rates (MIG). Meeting AWS A5.9 ER309LMo standards, they are optimized for welding dissimilar steels and cladding applications in corrosive or high-temperature conditions.

309LMo MIG and TIG filler wires are widely used for welding dissimilar metals, such as stainless steel to carbon steel, and for buffer layers in overlay welding. They are often employed in pulp and paper mills, chemical processing, and marine structures, where resistance to chloride corrosion is essential. These fillers are also used in pressure vessels, offshore installations, and flue gas desulfurization systems.
