ER347 contains 19-21% Chromium and 9-11% Nickel, stabilized with Niobium (Columbium) around 8-10 times the carbon content. The carbon is low (<0.03%). It achieves a tensile strength of about 80,000 psi (550 MPa), yield strength near 55,000 psi (380 MPa), and elongation of 30%. The stabilizer prevents carbide precipitation, allowing it to be used in high-temperature situations while maintaining great corrosion resistance and mechanical strength.
