Stainless Steel AWS Class ER316LSi is high-grade filler wire, and is frequently used for welding molybdenum-bearing stainless steels.
The ER316LSi wire/rod has a composition of about 18–20% chromium, 11–14% nickel, 2–3% molybdenum, and high silicon (~0.5–1.0%). Carbon is ≤0.04% for intergranular corrosion resistance. Weld deposits have tensile strength of about 560–580 MPa and elongation in excess of 30%. The silicon enhances wettability and minimizes surface oxidation, providing smooth welds even under TIG and MIG processes. These fillers give clean, defect‑free welds with high toughness and pitting resistance, suitable for precision welding operations.

Stainless Steel ER316LSi MIG Filler Wire is designed for MIG welding applications with excellent corrosion resistance, especially in environments with chlorides and chemicals. It typically comes in sizes ranging from 0.030 inches (0.8 mm) to 0.045 inches (1.2 mm) in diameter. The wire provides good weld bead appearance and reduces spatter.
