Andre Stainless is a trusted supplier in Pulau ujong, Pulau Ujong, providing high-grade stainless welding electrodes, including AWS Class E308/308H-16. These electrodes are specially developed for welding austenitic stainless steels that require high-temperature strength and creep resistance. With a higher carbon content compared to 308L, E308/308H-16 offers better high-temperature strength while maintaining good corrosion resistance. Manufactured under strict quality control, these electrodes are ideal for heat exchangers, boilers, and high-pressure piping applications. At Andre Stainless, we focus on durability, compliance with international standards, and consistent weld quality for challenging industrial settings.
E308/308H-16 electrodes contain about 19–21% Chromium and 9–11% Nickel, with a higher Carbon content (0.04–0.08%) than 308L, which enhances high-temperature creep resistance. They provide tensile strengths of 580–620 MPa and yield strength around 420 MPa. They maintain excellent ductility and oxidation resistance, even at elevated service temperatures. Designed for AC or DC reverse polarity, they ensure stable arc behavior, low spatter, and easy slag removal. The composition meets AWS A5.4/SFA-5.4 standards, ensuring performance and compatibility with high-temperature stainless base metals.

Light-coated electrodes are ideal for welding 18-8 austenitic stainless steel, offering smooth weld beads with minimal slag formation. Available in sizes ranging from 3/32″ to 5/32″ in diameter, they are suited for applications where easy slag removal is essential.
Heavy-coated electrodes provide enhanced slag control and stable arc characteristics, making them suitable for high-heat applications. These electrodes come in sizes from 3/32″ to 5/32″ in diameter and are ideal for out-of-position welding due to their robust coating.
Shielded arc electrodes offer high weld quality with reduced spatter, making them excellent for shielded arc welding. Available in sizes ranging from 3/32″ to 5/32″ in diameter, they provide superior arc stability and slag detachability, resulting in cleaner welds.
We guarantee quality products such as AWS Class E308/308H-16 Electrodes that consistently pass all tests, such as hardness testing, spectro analysis, PMI, flaring tests, macro and micro tests, pitting resistance, and IGC tests. We ensure all documentation requirements such as commercial invoices, packaging lists, Certificate of Origin, and Third-Party Inspection Certificates to ensure the finest quality and satisfaction of our valued customers.
AWS E308/308H-16 electrodes are commonly used for welding stainless steel grades 304H, 308H, and other austenitic stainless steels where higher creep strength is necessary. They are suitable for fabricating and repairing components exposed to high temperatures, such as heat exchangers, boilers, superheater tubes, and pressure piping in power generation and chemical industries. They also find use in refineries and petrochemical plants. Their ability to maintain weld integrity at high temperatures makes them ideal for structural welds in environments with thermal cycling. These electrodes create strong, corrosion-resistant joints in both new construction and maintenance projects.
