Andre Stainless in Singapore provides premium quality AWS Class E309/309H-16 Electrodes, specifically designed for welding stainless steel to carbon steel and comparable dissimilar joints. These electrodes can be used effectively in high-temperature applications that demand high creep resistance and oxidation resistance. Being a reputable brand in welding consumables, Andre Stainless guarantees international standard adherence and technical reliability for crucial operations. The E309/309H-16 electrode offers reliable arc performance and crack resistance, and it is one of the highest-rated products in power plants, refineries, and structural fabrication industries throughout Pulau Ujong and Southeast Asia‘s high-performance industrial environment.
These electrodes have 23–25% chromium and 12–14% nickel with a higher carbon (about 0.04–0.08%) for enhanced high-temperature strength. They provide tensile strength greater than 580 MPa and yield strength of about 370 MPa, with elongation of 25–30%. Suitable for AC or DC welding, they provide a stable arc, low spatter, and easy slag removal. Higher carbon improves creep strength in elevated temperature service. These rods are effective on mild or carbon steels butt-welded to stainless steels, with weld integrity under thermal cycling.
