Andre Stainless, based in Pulau Ujong, Singapore, is a top provider of quality welding consumables, including AWS Class E317L-16 stainless steel electrodes. These electrodes are made for manual arc welding of 317 and 317L stainless steels. They offer strong corrosion resistance in chemical and marine environments. The company focuses on quality control, making it a trusted supplier for industries that need reliable welds. With a customer-centric approach, Andre Stainless supports applications in construction, marine fabrication, and heavy industrial welding with dependable electrode products that perform well under challenging conditions.
AWS E317L-16 electrodes contain high levels of Chromium (18-21%) and Nickel (11-15%), with Molybdenum (3-4%) for better resistance to pitting. The low carbon content (≤0.04%) helps prevent carbide precipitation. These electrodes provide a tensile strength of about 85,000 psi (586 MPa), a yield strength around 60,000 psi (414 MPa), and elongation of about 30%. These mechanical properties ensure they resist cracking, maintain ductility, and have strength for welding in corrosive settings, especially where chlorides are present. They also feature excellent slag removal and arc stability, supporting accurate, high-quality welds in any position.
