Andre Stainless is one of the top distributors of AWS Class E385-16 stainless steel electrodes in Pulau Ujong, Pulau ujong, with top-quality welding solutions for heavily alloyed, corrosion-resistant stainless steels like UNS S31254 (6Mo). The electrodes are engineered for use in applications with aggressive chlorides, acidic conditions, and high seawater resistance. E385-16 features outstanding arc stability and smooth slag removal in all positions. At Andre Stainless, we produce these electrodes in accordance with AWS and ASME specifications, providing top quality weld and mechanical strength for chemical processing, pulp and paper industry, and offshore applications.
E385-16 electrodes have 19.5–21.5% Chromium, 24–26% Nickel, 6–7% Molybdenum, and traces of Nitrogen and Copper, and exhibit superior pitting and crevice corrosion resistance. Carbon is restricted below 0.03% to prevent carbide precipitation. Welds possess tensile strength of 650 MPa and good ductility. These electrodes meet AWS A5.4/SFA-5.4 requirements and produce stable, smooth arcs along with good weld bead appearance. They are suitable for multi-pass welding and high corrosion applications and are intended for AC or DC welding. These are compatible with high-alloy austenitic stainless steels.

Featuring superior corrosion resistance, these electrodes are ideal for heavy-duty welding tasks. They are available in 3.2 mm (1/8 in) and 4.0 mm (5/32 in) diameters, designed for high-strength applications with thicker coatings for enhanced performance.
These electrodes are used in shielded arc welding processes for stainless steel, providing robust corrosion resistance. They are offered in sizes like 3.2 mm (1/8 in) and 4.0 mm (5/32 in) diameters, ensuring strong, reliable welds with excellent shielding properties.
We ensure full transparency of our AWS Class E385-16 Electrodes with high-quality assurance. All orders are accompanied by essential documents, including a commercial invoice, packing list, fumigation certificate, heat treatment chart, and a NABL-approved lab test report. We provide Material Test Certificates per EN 10204/3.1b, PMI Test Certificates, 100% radiography test reports, and Third-Party Inspection Certificates. Our comprehensive documentation is arranged to ensure maximum client satisfaction.
E385-16 welding electrodes are applied in joining UNS S31254 (6Mo) high-alloy stainless steel used in very corrosive conditions. The applications involve desalination plants, offshore oil platforms, pulp bleaching plants, heat exchangers, and chemical reactors where pitting resistance is important. E385-16 welding electrodes are also applied to weld high-performance superaustenitic stainless steels in chloride-containing environments. The high Nickel and Molybdenum content renders them resistant to seawater, sulfuric acid, and halide salts. E385-16 is the best choice for welding or overlaying components exposed to severe pH changes, corrosive media, and long-term exposure to saltwater and oxidizing acids.
