Andre Stainless in Singapore provides superior performance AWS Class E316/316H-16 Electrodes, suitable for corrosive and high-temperature conditions. Constructed for Type 316 and 316H stainless steels, the electrodes provide molybdenum-improved corrosion protection and outstanding mechanical stability. Andre‘s materials are highly utilized in chemical, offshore, and food processes where weld dependability is paramount. These electrodes satisfy strict AWS requirements and provide consistently tough, crack-free welds. They are especially ideal for fabrication subjected to thermal loads and exposure to chlorides, and are supported by local expertise and logistics from Andre Stainless.
These electrodes contain 18–20% chromium, 11–14% nickel, and 2–3% molybdenum for enhanced pitting and chloride resistance. The “H“ type contains increased carbon (0.04–0.08%) for enhanced creep resistance. They provide tensile strength greater than 580 MPa, fine elongation (approximately 30%), and toughness at high temperatures. Ideal for AC/DC welding, these electrodes produce smooth beads and easy removal of slag. Their chemical composition provides resistance to powerful acids, chlorides, and oxidizing media—perfect for harsh environments.

Light-coated electrodes are suitable for welding thin sections of stainless steel and offering high corrosion and oxidation resistance. They are available in sizes such as 1/8″ and 5/32″, providing ease of use and flexibility in various welding applications.
These electrodes provide superior corrosion resistance and durability, making them ideal for heavy-duty applications. With diameters ranging from 3/16″ to 1/4″, they are designed for robust welding tasks, ensuring strong joints and long-lasting performance in harsh environments.
We ensure products of high quality such as AWS Class E316/316H-16 Electrodes with hard-testing, spectro-analysis, PMI, and flare tests. On the other hand, we ensure high quality material delivery through micro-macro tests, pitting resistance, and IGC tests. In addition to these, full documentation of commercial invoices, packaging lists, third-party inspection certificates, along with legalized certificate of origin for an unmatched satisfaction level from the customer side while being sure about product reliability.
These electrodes are best suited for welding 316/316H stainless steels in heat exchangers, reactors, pressure vessels, and piping systems. They are used commonly in the chemical processing, pharmaceutical, and offshore oil and gas industries. E316H contains more carbon, which aids in long-term stability under creep conditions. It is also used in food-grade equipment and pulp and paper plants where corrosion and sanitation have top priority. E316/316H-16 excels when there is cyclic heat and chemical exposure.
