Stainless Steel 15‑5 PH Bars are high-end precipitation-hardenable martensitic-ferritic stainless steel bars featuring outstanding strength, toughness, and corrosion resistance. These bars are available in Singapore by Andre Stainless, being heat-treated to H900–H1150 tempers as per ASTM A564 requirements. With its excellent fatigue resistance and consistent performance in maritime and aerospace conditions, 15‑5 PH is usually chosen for load-carrying and sealing parts. Andre Stainless inspects each bar to exact dimensional specifications and mechanical certification. With good weldability and bondability, 15‑5 PH bars are perfect for parts that have to be resistant to both mechanical stress and corrosive exposure.
15‑5 PH has ~15% chromium, ~4.75% nickel, ~3% copper, ≤0.07% carbon, and minor niobium and titanium additions. The tensile strength is ~1,100 MPa, the yield strength is ~950 MPa, the elongation is ~10%, and the hardness is ~38 HRC in the H900 temper. The alloy maintains toughness at higher and sub-zero temperatures and resists chloride stress corrosion cracking. Its age-hardened microstructure has high fatigue endurance. 15‑5 PH bars are highly machinable and possess good surface finish with little heat treatment distortion. Uniform mechanical properties are ensured throughout the entire length of each bar.
