Stainless Steel 446 Bars consist of high-chromium ferritic stainless steel with 23% to 27% chromium and minimal carbon. They show a tensile strength of around 485 MPa and a yield strength of 275 MPa. This alloy offers excellent oxidation and scaling resistance up to 1100°C, with good thermal fatigue and creep strength. While not suitable for cold working due to limited ductility, SS 446 bars perform strongly in hot, corrosive environments. Their ferritic structure ensures magnetic properties and stability under fluctuating thermal loads, making them reliable for high-temperature structural applications.
