SMO 254 Bars are high-alloy austenitic stainless steel bars with a composition of about 20% chromium, 18% nickel, 6% molybdenum, and traces of nitrogen. This special composition delivers superior resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking in chloride-rich and sea-water environments. Bars have excellent mechanical properties such as high tensile strength (maximum of 650 MPa) and excellent fatigue strength.
