439 Stainless Steel Bars are ferritic stainless steels containing 17–19% of chromium along with added titanium for stability of structure and increased weldability. They contain low carbon, which enhances intergranular corrosion resistance, particularly in welded components. The bars exhibit good oxidation resistance and are suitable for use in high-temperature conditions. Their mechanical properties comprise suitable tensile strength and moderate ductility, suitable for forming and fabrication. They offer suitable resistance to stress corrosion cracking and thermal conductivity, suitable for use in automotive, HVAC, and heat exchanges.
