Stainless Steel 317L Bars are a type of low-carbon, molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless steel, made up of about 18–20% chromium, 11–15% nickel, 3–4% molybdenum, and a maximum of 0.03% carbon. The low carbon content significantly boosts resistance to intergranular corrosion after welding. In terms of mechanical properties, 317L boasts a tensile strength of around 515 MPa, a yield strength of 205 MPa, and a minimum elongation of 35–40%.
