Stainless Steel 301 is an austenitic alloy with 16–18% chromium and 6–8% nickel. It has a high tensile strength of up to 930 MPa when cold worked and a yield strength starting at 275 MPa in the annealed state. SS 301 shows good corrosion resistance and excellent fatigue strength.
