Stainless Steel 440C Sheets and Plates are crafted from a high-carbon martensitic stainless steel alloy, which contains about 16–18% chromium and 0.95–1.20% carbon. This unique blend gives them impressive hardness and edge retention after heat treatment, along with decent corrosion resistance in mild atmospheres and clean industrial settings. These sheets and plates boast a tensile strength of up to 760 MPa and a yield strength of around 450 MPa, with Rockwell hardness reaching as high as 60 HRC when fully hardened.
