Stainless Steel 321/321H Sheet and Plates are titanium-stabilized austenitic stainless steels characterized by high resistance to intergranular corrosion and oxidation at high temperatures. Andre Stainless supplies these grades for utilization in applications of high heat, pressure, or welding where precipitation of carbides should be prevented. The 321H grade has more carbon for higher creep resistance. SS 321/321H is non-magnetic and weldable and has structural stability in thermal cycling conditions. It‘s widely applied in aerospace, chemical processing, and food industries. These sheets are ASTM A240 compliant and are ideal for continuous use to 900°C, ensuring stability and reliability.
SS 321/321H contains 17–19% chromium, 9–12% nickel, and titanium (at least 5 times the carbon content) for stabilization. 321H contains more carbon (0.04–0.10%) for enhancement of strength at high temperatures. Tensile strength is 515–750 MPa, yield strength is about 205 MPa, and elongation is about 40%. The alloy is resistant to intergranular corrosion following welding and exposure to temperatures for extended periods up to 900°C. It‘s not magnetic, tough, and provides high-temperature creep resistance. SS 321/321H has good weldability, forming characteristics, and stability in pressurized and thermally stressed equipment. It is well suited for constant service in applications exposed to repeated thermal cycling.

These sheets contain high corrosion resistance and are available up to 1.2-12mm thickness and width up to 2000mm. They are ideal for high temperature application.
Cold rolled plates of SS 321H possess higher corrosion resistance and are available up to 0.3-6mm in thickness and up to 1500mm in width. They are perfect for applications requiring a smooth finish and high strength.
These plates provide outstanding resistance to corrosion, and come in thickness from 3mm up to 12mm and have sizes of up to 1500mm x 3000mm. Raised pattern surface increases the gripping value, thus commonly used for floor and structural work.
Perforated sheets are extremely resistant to corrosion and can be perforated from 0.5mm up to 20mm in diameter. The sheet thickness is also from 0.3mm up to 3mm. It is used in filtration and ventilation systems.
Shim sheets are resistant to corrosion with a high accuracy level. Thickness is available between 0.05mm up to 3mm, and cut-to-size service is also possible to get precise dimensions for several alignment and spacing applications.
Polished plates have excellent resistance to corrosion, and a reflective finish. These plates are manufactured in thickness range from 3mm to 50mm. The size for these plates up to 2000mm x 6000mm is ideal for aesthetic applications as well as a high-quality surface finish.
SS 321/321H Sheets and Plates find extensive application in exhaust manifolds, aircraft engine components, chemical reactors, and heat exchangers. In power plants, they are utilized in boiler tubes, headers, and pressure vessels. These sheets are ideal for steam piping, catalytic converter housings, and expansion bellows. In the food processing industry, SS 321/321H finds usage in heat-cleaned surfaces and sterilizers. Due to its weldability, it is suitable for piping and process equipment that faces repeated start-stop cycles. Refinery furnaces, thermal oxidizers, and jet propulsion systems utilize the alloy where carbide precipitation and oxidation resistance are needed.
